Q: What are Active Attitude Curriculums?

A: If you are after a standards-based series of activities where participants have a visual and viable progression to skill proficiency and opportunities to apply their learnt skills, then an Active Attitude curriculum could be the ideal fit for your club/organisation.

For our full prospectus on our curriculum opportunities; a road map for their release and other regular updates, sign-up here.

In addition to our Levels 1-6 curriculums for different codes, we have made our holiday program curriculums available for other clubs/organisations to benefit from.

Q: Who are Active Attitude Curriculums suitable for?

A: Youth Sports Clubs and Child Activity Programmes.

Our curriculums are suitable for youth sports clubs and child activity organisations with students who are 5 year olds right through to the teenage years (and beyond – we even have adults working their way through some of our curriculums).

Q: How does Active Attitude Curriculums benefit participants?

Active Attitude Curriculums offer numerous benefits for participants including:

  • Visual progression of what they are training towards and their achievements
  • Have a pathway of skill development regardless of whether they choose to pursue sport at a recreational or competitive level
  • Easy transition to learning new codes – all our curriculums are set in a similar format, creating familiarity for members who want to learn multiple codes or transition from one code to another.

Q: How does Active Attitude Curriculums benefit organisations?

A: In so many ways!

  • Organisations can have consistency through a range of programs they offer.
  • Save your organisation time in having to create or revamp your curriculums. Let us help your club provide fantastic sport and physical activity experiences through using Active Attitude Curriculums.
  • Have consistency in approach and design for your curriculums across multiple codes. This makes it easier for those teaching multiple codes and for educating your customers and members.
  • An easy to order, reward and recognition system for your members
  • We listen to your feedback – because we are committed to delivering the very best curriculums and seeing people excel, your club will receive a survey each year asking for feedback.  To say thanks for completing the form and for helping to deliver the best curriculums possible, your club receives 20% off your club’s up and coming license renewals.

Q: What makes Active Attitude Curriculums unique?

A: What sets Active Attitude Curriculums apart is our comprehensive approach to progression and not having participants feeling like they are being held back in a level before being able to work on more challenging skills.

For instance, a gymnast who may have limited flexibility, may take longer than the average person in her class to achieve her splits, so instead of her being stuck in a class/level until she passes the level, she can still continue to work towards Level 4 and beyond skills until the time comes when she is down in her splits and can be awarded her Level 3 ribbon.  This enables clubs to be able to offer multiple levels together as a class and in some cases making it viable to have recreational athletes and competitive athletes train together or keep children in a particular age group together.

Q: How do you implement Active Attitude Curriculums into your organisation?

A: Active Attitude Curriculums can be easily implemented in a range of sport, recreational and educational settings.

We know this because we have tried out these curriculums through Active Attitude’s club. Our organization was originally based as a mobile sports tuition, so we have purposefully made the beginner levels achievable with portable equipment.

Q: Are there any training opportunities available for coaches and instructors?

A: Our Active Attitude Curriculums provide skill lists for each level and videos and instructions on how to complete and assess each skill/activity.

Please note: Our curriculums are not Coach Training Programs.  We believe it is best for each individual organisation to train their coaches based on their organisation's requirements and to the style and objectives of their organisation.  If you are wanting some assistance with training your coaches, you are most welcome to reach out to Ashleigh McCaw Coaching, and Ashleigh may be able to provide services to assist your organisation's needs, or link you with someone else that may be a suitable fit.

Our primary focus here at Active Attitude Curriculums is to make sure we have got exciting and progressive content to keep your participants excited and engaged.
