Active Attitude Curriculums

Our Story

After running her own youth sports club for 8 years, Ashleigh (Active Attitude founder) recognized the need for modern and comprehensive curriculums that aligned with her centre’s programs and awards systems.  Frustrated with outdated programs provided by a national body, Ashleigh decided to take matters into her own hands. With over 20 years of experience in teaching children's physical activities and a deep understanding of fundamental movement and successful program design, she embarked on a journey to create Active Attitude Curriculums.

After a few years of implementing these curriculums at our very own Active Attitude Gymnastics and Children's Activity Centre in Whangarei, Ashleigh is now eager to share these programs with other organizations. Whether you're launching a new program in your organization or seeking practical and effective curriculums, Active Attitude Curriculums and Ashleigh are here to support you and your team.

Experience the difference of our carefully crafted curriculums and see how they can enhance your programs. Join the Active Attitude Curriculum community today and unlock the potential of your children's activity centre or sports club.

Meet Ashleigh

2023 marks 21 years since Ashleigh started coaching children’s sport and 11 years of running Active Attitude as a Youth Sports Club and child activities centre.

Ashleigh started her club (Active Attitude) working out of schools and community halls, so is well aware of the need to be resourceful and that not every coach has or needs a fully equipped gymnasium to run successful programs.

You will see Ashleigh’s passion and understanding of grassroots coaching come out in the Beginner levels of the Active Attitude curriculums where focus is put on ensuring that organisations and instructors can start programs at a beginner level with limited equipment and the ability for a coach to learn and grow with their participants.

Ashleigh has coached a range of sports activities, with the Active Attitude facility currently hosting 9 different programs.  It is in her belief of the benefits of gymnastics being the foundation for all sports and movement activities which has given each code the starting platform it needed to get off the ground.

Testimonial

“Ashleigh gets what it is like to run a gymnastics and children's activity centre and she is well connected to other owners and managers – this is why I believe she has hit the nail on the head with the concept of these curriculums.  They are easy to implement and she has been collaborative in her approach to seek out other experienced professionals to have input into the content.  We are excited to not only be able to offer these curriculums to our members, but also for our club to be part of the Active Attitude Curriculum’s online community – it’s always great to bounce off like minded people.  It’s also nice to know we have got a place to reach out and ask questions. Ashleigh has been prompt in asking us for feedback and listening to our ideas and suggestions, which makes us feel valued as a club and excited about the future knowing that there is an organisation keen to constantly strive for improvements and to keep up to date with their customer’s needs.  I’d highly recommend reaching out to Ashleigh or her team to find out how these curriculums could work for your club or child activity organisation.  We are so excited to be on the Active Attitude journey, and know it’s only just getting started and look forward to what we know is coming next.” - Jody Le Bas, Manager - Gymnastica.
